May is one of the busiest months on the farm, but it’s the kind of busy that we love. Spending more time outside than inside means we’re in our happy place 🙂Â

Workshops & Markets
Check out our Events Page to see where we'll be!Â
The Downtown Aurora Farmer’s Market starts on Saturday, June 1. We’ll be there every Saturday for the month of June from 8am – noon. The market is located at 65 Water St in Aurora.Â
We had some fun workshops and pop-up events this month! We collaborated with a local chef who hosted a microgreens planting workshop and cooking class using microgreens. We had a blast!
We are also partnering with other local businesses to host pop-up events.
Micro of the Month: Micro Radish
The recipe this month is perfect for Memorial Day Weekend!
Try our Bison Burger recipe with Micro Radish. Get the full recipe here.
While this recipe calls for cooking the burger on a skillet, we will be making it this weekend on the grill. Because let’s be honest…is it really Memorial Day weekend unless you break out the grill for the season?Â
You’ll see the original recipe calls for Spice Lover’s Mix, but the Micro Radish pairs perfectly with this as well. Radish microgreens are available to order in our store for farm pick-up.Â
Garden Update
The term “labor of love” describes gardening perfectly. All you gardeners out there know it’s a TON of work, but it’s so gratifying to get your hands dirty and work outside.
We are expanding our garden this summer with new raised beds and automating our systems with drip irrigation. This means more work up front to save us a lot of time over the summer!Â
We were excited to help others jumpstart their garden this year with our veggie seedlings! Basil and cucamelons were by far the most popular seedlings…if you don’t know what cucamelons are, you should 😉
We are going to open a roadside produce stand this summer (more on that later), which means we’re growing lots of people’s favorite veggies…cucumbers, squash, peppers, and tomatoes to name a few.Â
Alpaca Shearing
Our alpacas got their annual haircuts...it's not their favorite thing in the world, but they feel SO much better afterwards!
You can see before and after pics of our girls…what a difference!Â
We couldn’t resist getting some fun haircuts for a couple of our boys this year. Check out Bandit’s mohawk and Romeo’s fabulous mullet!
